Operation Market Garden 75 år

For femte år i træk arrangerer Battlefieldtours guidede ture til nogle af de lokationer, hvor hårde kampe udkæmpedes i forbindelse med Operation Market Garden 17. - 25. september 1944. Dansk Nijmegen Kontingent har i den forbindelse modtaget denne invitation:

2019 will be the 5th year that we have organize the Battle Field Tours (BFT) as a side program for our international guests at Heumensoord, Nijmegen. We appreciate the participation from the soldiers over the years.
This year we commemorate 75-year Market Garden.
All tours will be focused on Market Garden. Including Re-Enactors on Heumensoord and during the week.
We look forward to show you all, this year, the Market Garden area in the Netherlands.
This year’s Battlefield Tours will be:

US-Sector (1 bus 45 Persons)
- Market Garden, 82nd Airborne 504 PIR drop zones near Grave (John S. Thompson) Bridge.
Your Guide will be Norbert.
With his great experience and his Original Dodge he will show you the highlights

British Sector (2 Busses, total 90 people)
- Market Garden, the battle of Arnhem
Erik and Otto, Guides from the Society of Friends of the Airborne Museum.
Both will do a deep dive into what happened in Arnhem, during Market Garden.
Good old Henk is back and will do the second tour.
after the tour at 14:00 a remembrance service at Oosterbeek Cemetery by Referent Trevor.

German and Canadian Sector (1 Bus 45 persons)
- Water used as a weapon, German and Canadian orientated.
Bernhard and Pieter are the specialist on Veritable.
All Tours will depart on Sunday 14 July 2019 at 09:30
Latest information on Saturday evening 18:00 at the Information desk.
Please be there on Sunday 14 July 2019 09:00 in front of All Ranks bar.
All tours are free of charge, with no additional cost incurred for a packed lunch.

REGISTRATION:
For each single tour we have 1 bus for max 45 Persons available.
Because of this year 75 MG, US soldiers have precedency on The Grave tour and GBR have precedency on Arnhem, seats.

Everybody can sign in before to guarantee a seat.
The BFT’s are free of charge. To join these BFT please sign up in advance by email.
Registration starts from 24 may 2019. Alle emails received before will be ignored. bftnijmegen@gmail.com. NLT 30 june 2019.

Rank, First and last name, Country, email and the Name of the BFT you want to participate.

Team registrations, this year no team registrations. The reason is understandable, some people from the team will not show up because of different reasons. And they hold a seat for people who want to participate. So please only individual registrations.

Bemærk at tilmeldinger er individuelle (INGEN holdtilmeldinger) og efter 'Først til mølle - princippet'. Følg tilmeldingsproceduren beskrevet i boksen ovenfor.
Det er dog en rigtig god idé, at kontakte din holdfører inden du melder dig til. Mange hold har egne traditioner og aktiviteter, som foregår om søndagen.
